AR Field Trip
The students who met their AR Goal were rewarded with a field trip to the bowling alley. We went and helped out with the kids. I had 6 kids in my group, and they were very enthusiastic about bowling. One of the students kept bowling strikes, and he jumped up and down every time. Toward the end, the students were just ready to leave and go eat. After leaving the bowling alley, we went to Barnes and Noble, and we picked out AR Books for the classroom library. Yesterday showed me just how exciting, and stressful, it can get when you are a elementary school teacher.

Another Trip
We went to the school yesterday, and I know go back to Mrs. Borne's room. I love walking in and all the kids waving to me. I got to help them study their vocabulary words. Each students had their vocabulary words written on a small piece of paper, and Mrs. Borne would call out a definition and they would hold up the word they thought was the correct answer. The students were taking MAP testing that morning, so they were all happy because their scores went up. I can't wait to go back next week.

A New Class
Because it was the first time we have gone back to West Hancock, we all got a new teacher to watch. I now go to Mrs. Stennit's class, which is a 5th grade math class. The class is in the cafeteria most of the hour that I am there, so I will get to work on things that Mrs. Stennit doesn't have time to do. The first thing she has asked me to do is something I love doing. I get to think of a theme for her bulletin board, and I also will get to decorate it. I am very happy about that, and I can't wait to see what she has planned.
